Current Work: The Portal Series
The Portal Series began years ago with my interest in metaphysics and ancient Anasazi sites of the Southwest. When I moved to Taos, NM, I began photographing many of the sites I had previously visited, but this time using a digital camera. The images are printed 24X30 inches on canvas using an Epson archival printer. Using oil paint, I manipulate and transform the spaces questioning time and space.
Current Work: Gaia 2 Series
Gaia II Series is a continuation of the Southwestern landscapes, but with more emphasis on painting. Wheras the earlier images were more colored photographs, these later ones practically leave the photograph underneath the paint only to be discovered on closer look. The colors became brighter as I moved to the Southwest permanently.
