The Continental Drift series was done while living in Southern California teaching at UCLA in the early 1980's. Although a native of California, I had not lived there in over a decade. Awareness of the shifts in the earth and the fear of earthquakes came back to me. The addition of paint to the photographs added to the visual movement of the images. All of the photographs are "one-of-a-kind". They range in size from 8x10 inches to 40x60 inches.
